NCUR 2009

Here I am in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Never heard of it? Yeah, me neither until I came here. I'm attending the National Conference of Undergraduate Research at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. We arrived yesterday after a delayed early morning flight and a 3 hour bus ride. I was really hesitant to come because I don't like being away from my new husband and I didn't know what I was going to do these couple days until I present my research on Saturday morning, but some of my old friends from UVU are here as well and we're making it fun. Today we went to the conference because some of them had to present and we stopped in on some other sessions. It's interesting to see all the different research projects students from other universities have worked on. Then we went to a restaurant downtown where they had several interesting cheese items on the menu and our waitress had a strong accent. She said 'beg' for 'bag' which made me laugh. I am definitely in Wisconsin. Tomorrow we're going to take a ride on the Mississippi river, go to some more conference sessions and eat some squeaky cheese. Maybe i'll even have time to finish some school work. Hum, I doubt it cause this is all just too exciting. Oh and I forgot my camera so I'll have to steal pics from my friends so I can show you all the amazing adventures we have. :) ha!

Oh yes, and the research I'm presenting is on the supplemental training collegiate dancers need in order to be well balanced.

  1. I Love Squeaky cheese. Accents are funny. People in Wisconsin are probably thinking you are the one talking funny because you "bag" instead of "Beg". LOL
