The Vegas Part II

Last year we spent New Years Eve in Las Vegas and guess we did this year? Well, obviously the same thing right! This year was better because we knew the right places to go, especially at midnight.

The trip started out by leaving at 9PM on a dark, snowy night.
I was very frightened but tried not to show it.

We arrived safetly to St. George around 12:30AM where we would stay at the Dayton's condo, thanks Daytons!! BUT FIRST we had to stop at Wal-mart to get supplies, cereal, milk, eggs and "drinks" (sparkling cider). AND THEN we had to stop at a park to play. Now at this point of the night I get grumpy because I am not a night person but then I saw the park we were going to play at and I was so excited, it was way cooler than any park I had when I was little. It had all these wirly twirly spinning rides, my favorite was the one that two people get in and then use their bodyweight to spin themselves around and then when you jump out you wanna throw up, so fun! Here is an action shot of racheal and I while spinning. Ha ha funny.

The gang
leaving our
park.

Then we get to condo and instead of going to bed so we could have energy for the next day (NEW YEARS EVE) we decided to stay up and do productive things like eat popcorn, dance and take funny pictures.

The next morning after some raquetball we were on our way to The Vegas.

After arriving at the Hilton (Vacations Club, thanks Cecil and Yvonne!) we dressed up for dinner at the Cheesecake factory where I was so happy to see RED VELVET cheesecake! Two great things combined together for my pleasure.

Wow, this was a great meal. After dinner we walked around the strip and had fun hanging out watching the Bellagio fountain shows and purchasing Pussycat Doll Workout videos for us girls.

Then midnight came...
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
We were in a great spot on the strip, near Treasure Island and The Venitian, we could see all the fireworks from all the surrounding hotels, so awesome! Last year the whole strip skipped out on the fireworks so that is a big reason why this year was better.
After the celebrations we walked back to The Hilton and we had fun as just girls as we learned how to do "butt tightening" dance moves with our new DVD. Hahaha oh man I love these girls, it was definitely a big highlight of the trip.

New Years day was filled with lots of shopping and eating at Grimaldi's Pizzaria, mmmm!
San and Kiarra getting ENGAGED that night at The Venetian! Woo woo!

The following day as we were leaving we decided to eat at The Diner (Denny's) then we all wanted to throw up but the trip wasn't over yet. We still had to take a picture by the "Welcome to Vegas" sign. It took us FOREVER to get there (strip traffic) and then the line to take a picture was long cause there was a REAL wedding going on underneath the sign. Who does that? So we just took a picture at the side of it, called it good and headed out.

We were on our way to AZ.
We took a wrong turn and it was already 4PM! We decided it wasn't going to be worth spending one day (Sunday) there and having to leave Monday to be home for work in time so we're going to take a trip down there ASAP!

Bye Vegas, see you December 31st 2010!!
