Keeping my head held high..........

........so yeah, Eric is going to be gone this week again, well basically this MONTH. He'll be selling in areas that are over 2 hours away and since it's too far to drive each day 'they' (the big APX guys in corporate or wherever) put them in hotels for the week or month or however long they think. At least they'll come home on Saturday nights, only to leave Monday and get right back at it. Most the wives go and stay in the hotel but I must stay behind to work. Now, I don't want anyone to feel bad for me because there are so many worse things that could be happening. I feel very blessed to be married to a great, positive guy that works so hard. I'm also grateful that we have jobs and that I was even able to get a job out here. Otherwise, I would be really bored. Anyway so I guess feel free to call, text, Skype or whatever cause I'll need the company. I have planned a lot of things to do while I'm on my own this week so I don't go totally crazy... these include...... ***Taking a trip to the Memphis temple, it's about 2 hours away and I thought that would take up a good part of one of my days off. I really want to go with E, I mean that would be ideal right? But it was my goal to go at least once a month and being our circumstance it has made it difficult to be able to go together and I guess I have just been waiting for that to happen, but it looks like that isn't going to be happening anytime soon AND I've been thinking about all those stories we hear in General Conference about people that travel days and have no money but they still make it to the temple and that gives me the encouragement that I REALLY need to go. We are SOOO blessed to have an abundant supply of temples in Utah. Poor Arkansas doesn't even have one... (Ohhhh I can't help but notice they are lacking in too much that I enjoy and took for granted back home). ***Journaling and scrapbooking away......... considering when school starts I will not have as much time and I really don't want to get behind. But I'm not doing the old traditional scrapbooking.. I'm creating it all the computer so I don't have to print out pictures and everything. I'll just design the page, insert pics and print it all out together. I use Scrapblog... A suggestion from my friend Aubrey.. Thanks Aubz! ***I picked up lots of books and videos from the library. One video I am expecially excited about is one on all the sites in NYC which I will be visiting with all my sisters-in-laws at the beginning of August. I've been to New York a couple times and seen almost everything but I saw that video and was getting so excited I just have to watch it. That is another thing I will be doing... counting down the days til I get to go have a Sister's Weekend in NYC!!!!!!!!!! Oh my goodness I am so excited... I can't wait to have girly fun times with all 5 of my sisters-in-law and Mom in-law! Yay! ***Work... of course.... oh and I totally helped Kris Allen's Wife (You know... the guy that just won American Idol?) Anyway, she was cute and I felt starstruck, I don't really know why but ha ha it made my time at BR a little more exciting. ***Finding an apartment for when we get home... so if you know of anything available, let us know! ***GOING PRIVATE.... yeah although I used to not really care about blog-stalkers, I decided I just want to be in control of who is looking at our blog... so I will be making it private within this week so please send your address and I'll be happy to add you!

Hope everyone had a Happy 4th this year!!!!We had a BBQ by the pool and watched some lame fireworks by the river, but it was still fun to get to go out and to spend the Sunday after together.

  1. That stinks that he'll be gone for that long, good thing it's only a summer job. ha I actually do know of an apartment, but it's two down from me, not sure how bad you would want to live there, totally would understand. ha But they are really nice, spacious, and close to the freeway. I can give you more info if you are interested. And I definitely want to keep being blogger friends! janniferbylund@hotmail.com
