Magic

A Sunday night tradition in my family is to have popcorn and fruit shakes and watch an hour or so of the six hour set of Pride and Prejudice. Naturally, I continue this with Eric and I, although Jane Austin usually stays out of it and we agree on something a little more "modern." We did watch the newer version of P&P once but it's just not the same as the A&E classic,
*sigh* Collin Firth.

We have this popcorn maker but it wasn't working for me and I started to get so frustrated cause I was really wanting popcorn to go with my already made, wonderfully delicious and nutritious fruit shake (with no added sugars of course).
Sure, I could just microwave a bag but I wanted the homemade legit kind so I could put olive oil and nutritional yeast on it (don't judge until you try it).
So guess what my amazing husband does? After he told me to relax, he grabs a pot and makes popcorn right over the stove! Holy cow! He always wanted to be a magician growing up and right then he was! That was magic! I've never seen anybody make popcorn over the stove before. I didn't even think it was possible. He just put the popcorn kernels in the pot turned on the heat. Minutes later he takes the lid off and there was popped popcorn in there! Then he said his classic line "you wouldn't last a day as a pioneer" or something to that point. It's true. Love you E!

  4. LOVE PRIDE AND PREJUDICE!! But not the new Kiara Knightly version--so not the same! I also love legit popcorn and fruit shakes. I think our husbands might be right about us needing to be best friends.
